No Bull Thoughts For The Week

Happy 2019 to all of my loyal Full of Bull BBQ Sauce customers.  Oh what a long strange trip it’s been.  2018 was full of change in that I started the year working for Carpet Now but left them to return to the hospitality industry with Horseshoe Bay Resort near Marble Falls, Texas.  I loved working for Bryan Woodward, the Managing Director.  I made some great lifelong friends both at the resort and clients.  However, I the commute from Austin to Horseshoe Bay wore on me and when I was given the opportunity to work for one of the truly great resorts in the world—Nemacolin Woodlands Resort—I took it. https://www.nemacolin.com I am now able to work remotely from my home so I MIGHT be able to keep my sanity for a little while longer as I don’t have to deal with the Austin rush hour traffic.  If you have never hear of Nemacolin—and most Texans haven’t—you need to Google it.  It is beyond spectacular.  So, demos in 2019 will be a little less frequent because even the wicked need a day off from time to time.  I will be posting the demo dates both here and on the Facebook page.  Thank you so much for 10 great years of sales.  Your loyalty is greatly appreciated.

*****Random Thoughts*****

How do some people drive with their heads inserted up their butts.  Know where you are going—get in the proper lane and take the damned exit!!!

If you like crazy, funny, totally irreverent greeting cards, check out the Emily McDowell website.

Tastes in food are very subjective.  Everyone isn’t going to like Full of Bull but thankfully, quite a few do.  One person’s “great” is another person’s “meh.”  If you don’t believe me, check out the reviews of your favorite restaurant on Trip Adviser or Yelp.  You will find yourself saying “how could they say something like that about my favorite place.  Idiot!”

It is FAR better to be thought ignorant than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt!!! This also applies to things posted on Facebook.

Has writing “thank you” notes gone out of style? I don’t think so. It is the one way that you can distinguish yourself from the masses who think that a “thank you” e-mail is adequate. And then there are those that don’t do either. Surely your parents taught you better.  Also, “thanks” is lazy.  Take the time to say “thank you!”

A friend of mine says this about life and circumstances—”it’s a long worm that never turns.”

Thought for a lifetime: Always be willing to sign your work.

FYI: “Pretty good” or “pretty nice” or “pretty smart” isn’t a compliment. If you are going to qualify your compliment, just don’t say anything at all.

To quote Ron White of Blue Collar Comedy fame, “you can’t fix stupid.” You really can’t.

If you are on the freeway(or Hwy.79 between Round Rock, Texas and Palestine, Texas) driving in the left hand lane and only driving the speed limit, move over to another lane(or the shoulder). You are FAR more dangerous than the person that is driving, in your words, “too fast.” This doubly important in the rain.

Always remember that a lifetime of “attaboys” can be wiped out by one “aw s..t!”
